Perfect start to WEC season for Ferrari with pole in Qatar

Ferrari began the 2025 FIA World Endurance Championship season on the front foot by taking pole for the season-opening Qatar 1812km.

Antonio Giovinazzi went fastest for the #51 AF Corse Ferrari 499P in the Hyperpole session, posting the quickest lap of 1:38.359 right at the end as the chequered flag flew. The Italian driver just pipped Dries Vanthoor in the #15 BMW M Hybrid V8, who will start the race from second on the grid.

McLaren on form in LMGT3

United Autosports continued their impressive weekend form by locking out the front row in the LMGT3 category.

Sean Galael took the pole position in the #95 720S EVO LMGT3, just ahead of his teammate Sebastien Baud in the #59 car. The #78 Lexus – fastest in free practice – could only manage third in the short Hyperpole session.
