Where to watch the 6 Hours of São Paulo

The FIA World Endurance Championship reconvenes this coming weekend (11–13 July) for the 6 Hours of São Paulo in Interlagos, Brazil. With Le Mans still fresh in many fans’ memories, interest in the remainder of the season will be high. Here’s our guide on how to watch the FIA WEC 6 Hours of São Paulo.

Action starts on Friday

The action begins on Friday with two free practice sessions, neither of which will be broadcast live. Fans can keep abreast with the times on fiawec.tv (live timing only). Free practice 1 begins at 11:00 local time (16:00 CEST), FP2 at 15:45 local (20:45 CEST).

As is customary, the series will broadcast free practice 3 live and for free on its official YouTube channel. The session runs for one hour and begins at 10:10 local time (15:10 CEST).

Qualifying and Hyperpole take place on Saturday 11 July starting at 14:45 local time (19:30 CEST) and running through to 15:55 local (20:55 CEST). The race goes green on Sunday at 11:30 local (16:30 CEST) and is scheduled to run for six hours.

Paid streams

As for the qualifying, Hyperpole and the race itself, fans have a number of options. Those looking to take advantage of the FIA WEC’s in-house broadcast can purchase the race from FIA WEC TV for €8.99. Deals are also available for the second half of the season.

The same broadcast can also be viewed on discovery+, with many different commentary languages available. Subscriptions to this service start from €3.99.

Free broadcast

One of the most convenient places to watch the race is Austria, where state broadcaster ORF will stream the entire race live and for free (with English commentary) on its streaming service.

In Germany, the final three-and-a-half hours of the race will be broadcast live on the free-to-air Eurosport 1 on Sunday night. For information on other territories, check local listings or view the FIA WEC’s TV distribution list.
